What a great picture! What a remarkable story and a long and interesting life! What an interesting and fun person! I remember being about seven years old when Manfred and Christel came to America. We had many good family times together. You came here with very little, seized the opportunity you were presented and made the most of it. I remember when you bought that little old house and over the years making a beautiful home out of it, redoing everything, adding on rooms, in your spare time when you weren't at work. It is there, a testament to your industriousness, creativity and determination. Christel, you had to be quite creative, too, making a home out of a construction zone! You were also quite an artist. I remember you were the first one to take me fishing, i think it was at Wapato Lake.
May you rest in peace, my dear cousin. Thank you for being. My condolences to your family. You all have many cherished memories to help carry you thru these difficult times.
