October 17, 2026 marks the first National Cremation Placement Day, dedicated to meaningful, permanent remembrance. For families who have chosen cremation, it’s a reminder that a loved one’s story deserves a lasting place to be visited and remembered for years to come. To honor the day, we’re hosting an Open House from 11am to 3:30pm in the Celebration of Life Center, where our team will talk about why permanent placement matters. All are welcome, and no appointment is necessary.

Free Cremation Placement

As part of the Open House, we’re offering one free cremation placement per family in our Ossuary.* If you have a loved one at home, or simply want general information, we encourage you to schedule time with a Family Service Advisor. At Mountain View Funeral Home, we help Lakewood-area families make these decisions with no obligation or pressure.

*Free cremation placement includes the cost of the interment right in the Ossuary but does not cover the $25 Endowment Care Fund fee.
