Marilyn Wick
Marilyn was born March 25th, 1938 in Glendale, California. She passed away May 9th, 2014 at the Weatherly Inn in Tacoma. Her family moved to Seattle when she was 4 years old. She had a joyful childhood and graduated from Lincoln High School (Seattle). She graduated from Seattle Pacific College in 1960. She married the love of her life Ron Wick in 1962 and settled in Tacoma. She was a well-liked 1st grade teacher at Wainwright Elementary in Fircrest. She then was a wonderful stay at home mom for her sons and was blessed with a large home that everyone enjoyed visiting. She loved Jesus very much and lived her life to bless others. She was a very involved member at 1st Assembly of God Life Center church and loved to volunteer in Sunday school and at the church library. She loved reading, gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends. Marilyn may have been small in stature and avoided the limelight but she made a major impact to everyone around her and her community. She was loved by everyone in each chapter of her life. She is survived by Ron Wick, her husband of 51 years, her sister Janet Buck, her sons Steve (Tracy) Wick, Kevin (Heidi) Wick, Brian (Missy) Wick, her grandchildren Nicole, Brianna, Maddie, Carlie, Will, Emma and Claire, her great-grandson Mason, and many extended family members.
Memorial Service will be at Mountain View (Valley Chapel) at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 17th. Reception will follow in the Oak room at Mountain View.
