I have so many memories with Grandma… From times she took me to the kiddie pool in the summer as a young child, to playing “school” on the stairs by guessing which hand was hiding the rock behind her back. I spent a week with her when I was back from college and we colored together. I’ll never forget how playful she was with my son and the joy of seeing him get to know her playful side.
The biggest part I’ll carry with me is how she didn’t take herself too seriously, and how she would say “Oh well!” after describing something that certainly didn’t seem like an “oh well” kind of thing. But I loved that about her. She was fun and goofy the last day I saw her, making a funny face for our nice photo with her—I’m so glad she did because it’s exactly how I want to remember her.
