Sean David Shutter

March 26, 1969 - March 7, 2022

On the evening of March 7, 2022, Sean went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Sean was born on March 26, 1969 to Donna Mary Shutter in Redwood City, California. He attended elementary school in California. Then, moved to his grandparent’s (Bill and Mary Klair) home in Puyallup, Washington to complete middle school and graduated from Roger’s High School. Sean served four years in the Navy earning National Defense Service Medal during the Gulf War. Sean, then, moved back to Washington State. Sean was a loving, witty, and loyal husband, father, son-in-law and uncle. He is survived by his lovely wife of 23 years, Jennifer Shutter; his amazing sons, Matthew Shutter and Jared Shutter. His uncle, Greg Shutter of New York State; His nieces, Stephanie Flynn and Melissa Flynn; his parent-in-laws Roy and Freda Spaulding; his brother/sister in-laws Pat and Beth Flynn; and, his long-time friend, who we consider family, Mark Simons. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Sean had many activities that he enjoyed throughout his life. These included cooking, barbequing, playing games (chess, Dominos), attending Seahawk games, and camping with friends. Sean loved golfing with a tasty IPA and cigar. Sean enjoyed playing sports with friends and family, including Golf, Ping-Pong, Bocci Ball, Softball and Pickleball. His favorite moments were spent hanging out with friends and family sharing funny stories and laughing.
