Robert "Bob" D. Cooley Sr.

Robert (Bob) D. Cooley Sr. was born December 11th, 1921 in Raub, North Dakota and passed away peacefully November 23rd, 2021 in Graham, WA with family by his side. Bob was 1 of 13 children. As a teenager he relocated to Washington State with family members and graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA Class of 1940. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW2 as a Flight Mechanic. Upon the ending of the war Bob returned home to work and retire from American Manufacturing Company. He was an active member of, Ancient Order Of United Workmen, Ridge Bible Church in Graham WA, and The Tacoma Banjo Club. He is survived by his wife-Betty; Sister, Eyvonne Larsen; His children, Robert Cooley Jr. (and wife, Hong), Darlene Kelly (and spouse, Terry), and Nancy Hanson ( and husband, Roger); Grandchildren; Lynn Rinehardt (and spouse, Michael), Diep Fuller ( and spouse, Michael), Michael Cooley (and wife, Nina), Kari Schrader (and husband, Kevin), Ryan Christensen (and spouse, Sophath), Audra Brown (and husband, Bobby), Christine Berg (and husband, Dan); 17 great grandchildren; 5 great-great granddaughters. He was also loved and is survived by Betty’s children; Sharon Baker (and spouse, Gordon), Shirley Burdick, Diana Parks (and husband, Steve); 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; along with so many others throughout the span of his life. He was a great man remembered for his infectious laughter and positive outlook on life and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There will be a celebration of his life on his 100th Birthday, December 11 at 11:00 am, at Ridge Bible Church 10609 234th St. East, Graham, WA. 98338
