She died on May 29, 2021, in Tacoma, WA. Puna’s service will be held at noon on Sunday, June 6th, at Mountain View Valley Chapel in Lakewood, WA. She will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Park following the service. A viewing will be held at 10 AM the same day. Puna worked and retired as a computer programmer from Union Bank in Los Angeles, California. Once retired, Puna and Fatuana operated a bakery/catering business. They moved to Hilo, Hawai'i, where they enjoyed working the land before moving to Tacoma, Washington. Puna cherished being a pioneer missionary to American Samoa with her parents and family when they were very young and for the rest of their life. Always active in churches she attended, she loved to play the organ and teach children’s Sabbath school. Puna enjoyed spending time with family, grand and great-grandchildren. She never missed a special family event. She dearly loved her family and became like a second mother to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and many others. Puna was preceded in death by her parents Tini Inu Lam Yuen, Fueainaula Mu Tagaloa Lam Yuen, daughter Annabelle Janice Autele, brother Arthur Abraham Lam Yuen, nephew Harold Carl Voigt, niece Marjory Ah Sam, and nephew Jeffrey Daniel Ah Sam. She is survived by her husband Fatuana Autele; siblings Tupito Florence Voigt, Man-Ha Marjory Ah Sam, Lam Yuen Jr., Le’ala Ebigalle Watt, Etenauga Alvina Lutu, Tini Lam Yuen, Jr., Elaine Schaefer, Hannacho Lodge; children Margaret Macready (Michael), and Keith Kenneth Autele (Marie). She leaves behind six grandchildren whom she cherished: Giovanni, Tony, Puna, Tim, Byron, JeLeina, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
