Neal T. Nakamura

Neal Nakamura, of Lakewood, Washington passed away after a long struggle with multiple heart complications and battling the repercussions of Agent Orange on January 11, 2022, in Burien, Washington. Neal, was born to Jane Miyamura in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 1st, 1945. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Neal was the patriarch of a multi-generational household, who dedicated a lifetime of ever radiant memories to his family. Neal joined the United States Navy at age 17 on October 30th, 1962, and would commit the next 21 years to his country. Upon leaving the Navy, he gained employment at Harborview Medical Center Security. There, he established the Lost and Found department, retiring after 25 years of employment in Public Safety. Neal is survived by his wife, Bessie, his son Bobby, his daughter Mary Jane and son-in-law Bryan, and sisters, Dot Matsui and Rose Maekawa. He is succeeded by his grandchildren, Allan, Joshua, and Ema. Neal was hard-working, honest, and loyal. He loved to watch anime, play mahjong and Pokemon. He will be fondly remembered, respected, and upheld by a loving extended family.
