Luanna Baker (Leach)
February 2, 1939 - January 22, 2022
Luanna (Leach) Baker- Lu spent most of her life in the retail business throughout the Tacoma area. She loved to work with people and had a strong ethic, having won employee of the year on a couple of occasions. Lu loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh. She had a quick wit and usually ended up with the last word. Lu was never seen without her red/orange lipstick, and took pride in looking spectacular on a shoestring budget. Lu loved her flowers and her homes always had hanging fuchsia plants, her favorites. Lu was born in Tacoma on February 2, 1939 to Edwin and Laura Johnson. She went to University Place elementary, Jason Lee Junior high and Stadium high school. Lu is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Darlene Cole, her brother, Robert Johnson and her niece, Shawn Trenberth. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Nielsen of Spokane, her son, Greg Leach (Lisa) of University Place and a sister, Christy (Dan) Holloway of Fircrest. Lu also leaves behind 8 grandkids, 23 great grandkids, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. Memorial service is February 5, 2022 at 1:00pm. 4219 Beckonridge Dr. W, University Place, Wa 98466, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
