Lillian Walker
March 16, 1922 - December 7, 2021
Lillian Walker, after 99 beautiful years of life, made her peaceful transition to join her Heavenly father in her home surrounded by her family on the evening of December 7th, 2021. Daughter of the late Yarbrough Stoudemire & Bettse Stoudmire, Lillian was born on March 16, 1922 in Gadsden Alabama. She is now reunited with her immediate family which include two brothers: Isadore & Jesse Stoudemire and three sisters: Florence Brown, Evelyn Brown, & Mary Price. Lillian met & married her late husband, Issac Walker, in Montgomery, Alabama and relocated to Tacoma, Washington. Their union was blessed with seven children, five daughters: Rby Atkinson, Margaret Spurlock, Betty Gray, Justina (Tina) Walker, and Sharon Lipford and two sons: Charles Walker and Ronald (Ronnie) Walker. Her legacy continues with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. A faithful servant, who loved the LORD. Lillian was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she and her husband joined under the pastorate of Reverend E.B. Wilson. There she enjoyed Christian fellowship with the members by signing and serving as a member in the Gospel Choir for many years. She traveled across the United States singing the gospel. Some of Lillian's happiest moments were in her garden, spending hours caring for her vast variety of flowers, plants and vegetables, her own earthly paradise. It was like God had given her the Garden of Eden. Spending time with her loved ones was the highlight of her day and like her garden, she watered them with love, nourished them with praise, complimented (in her own way) them everyday and was their sunshine when all the could see was rain. Lillian was true embodiment of 'God's Love' and because of her unrelenting faith in the LORD, there wasn't a soul what did not feel HIS love in her presence. Whether it was a holiday gathering, the cooking of a meal, or someone simply stopping by for a visit; she made sure you left knowing the LORD loved you. "Children are a gift from GOD" - PSALM 127:3 "Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor" -PROVERBS 3:16
