Laura “Peggy” Dickinson went to be with her LORD on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She tried very hard to reach #100. Peggy was born in Skiatook, Oklahoma on June 25, 1922, to Charles and Edith (Spurgeon) Lowery. Peggy and her husband, Merlin, lived on a farm in Graham for almost 40 years. They raised their five children there. They loved to camp, taking pack horses and riding into the back country. They took their boat and went on fishing trips. After retirement they traveled the USA and even managed a trip to Israel. They sold the Graham farm in 1993 and moved to a 25-acre farm in Winlock. Yes, they loved farming, raising cattle & horses, mowing & bailing hay. Peggy lost her husband of 59 years in 2001. They were members of the Spanaway Assembly of God (Sound Life Church) for over 20 years, then joined Bethel Church in Chehalis when they moved to Winlock. For the last 16 years she has attended Yelm Prairie Christian Center. She loved the Lord and lived by the Word of God. She was on her knees nightly praying for all her family and loved ones. Her husband and her children were her heart. “SAM” the bus driver, retired from Bethel School District after 14 years. Besides her regular bus route, she drove Special Needs children and drove for school field trips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, her sisters-in-law, Bernadine & Kathy, her brother-in-law, Donald, two grandchildren, Jonathan & Kenneth and a nephew, Dennis. Peggy leaves behind: daughters, Kay, Linda, Vickie, Jackie (Victor), son, Robert {Shelley), 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She is loved more than words can express and will truly be missed by her family and friends.
