John "Jack" A. Hunter

John "Jack" Arthur Hunter, 83, passed away on May 27, 2022 in his Puyallup, WA home. He fought long and hard with eyesight problems ( caused by a work-related accident), cancer and a stroke. He was born September 22, 1938 in Tacoma WA to George Arthur "Art" and Nina Mable Hunter. Jack attended Lincoln High School. Afterwards, he served in the Navy. He was a line worker and a mechanic for Heidelberg (Carling) and Rainier Breweries. After his retirement, he went on to work as a greeter at Walmart. Surviving Jack is his beloved wife, Donna, of 51 years. He is also survived by his children Jerry (Terrie) Hunter of Puyallup WA, Nina (Oliver) Siqueira of Olympia WA, and Chad (Brandy) Hunter of Marysville WA. His grandchildren Jessica and Jimmy Hunter of Puyallup WA, Landon and Olivia Siqueira of Olympia WA, and Ellee Hunter of Marysville WA. His brother, Keith (Gerda) Hunter of Puyallup WA as well as numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Lee Hunter. Jack was a member of the South Hill Historical Society. He loved spending quality time with his family, collecting car memorabilia and attending classic car shows. He also enjoyed drawing, listening to Oldies and radio talk shows, and will always be known for his storytelling. Per his request, no memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, he would love to be remembered by attending a car show or by making a donation to a charitable organization of your choice.
