Ecclesiastes 3: Verse 1: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:” Verse 2: “A time to be born and a time to die and a time to plant and a time to uproot;” Barbara was born September 14, 1934 in Lakeland, Florida. Named Barbara Jean Tuttle…nicknamed “Bobbie” and was called that until the move to Washington State in 1963. Seemed everyone then started to call her “Barbara”. This continued until she moved to Puyallup in 2006; then suddenly most everyone decided to call her “Barb”. She preferred to be addressed as “Barbara”. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2022 She planted and uprooted her life and home in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Scotland, Lakewood and Bothell Washington. Verse 3: “A time to heal and a time to build;” She had many opportunities to heal through the many health challenges she experienced over the years. Especially with heart issues like 3-way bypass, 3 stents, and a pacemaker. She was also a survivor of 5 different cancers. She built her home in Puyallup upon retirement and built her spiritual life while being a part of First Baptist Church of Lakewood, Crosspointe Church in Bothell, and High Pointe Community Church in Puyallup. Verse 4: “A time to weep and a time to laugh and a time to mourn;” It is said that “Laughter is the best medicine.” Laughter was very much a part of her life. Laughter has been a major part of the High Pointe Solo activities producing many memories. She and her sisters, and other family members and friends especially her BFF Barbara Meek have made tons of memories through laughter. She mourned the loss of her parents, her husband Homer Finch in 1986, oldest Son William Finch in 2004, her Daughter in law Cathy Finch and Granddaughter Rhonda Murray along with many friends. Barbara is survived by: her Son Robert (Dave) Finch (Kathleen) of Tacoma… 4 Sisters: Keren Hilliard (Howard) of Huntsville, Alabama; Dorothy Lowery (Alvin) of Laquey, Missouri; Bonnie Sullivan of Crawfordville, Florida; Juanita Moore of Crawfordville, Florida. 4 Granddaughters: Cynthia Brown (Demetrius) of Spanaway, Washington; Rita Kelley (Michael) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Rhoda Carpenter (Lee) of Wilmer, Alabama; and Annie Brown (Aldevon) of Graham, Washington. 5 Grandsons: Brian Finch (Leah) of Spanaway, Washington; Gary Wahl (Kendra) of Rochester, Washington; Tony Wahl of Tacoma, Washington; Michael Wahl (Faith) of Lakewood, Washington and Robert Murray, Grandson in Law of Wilmer, Alabama. Including Great Granddaughters and Grandsons, a Great-Great Granddaughter and Great-Great Grandson, Nieces, nephews, and many friends also, as “Adoptive” Grandma to 3 and a Great Grandma to 8 belonging to BFF Barbara Meek.
