Alicia Castro Lumaban

September 6, 1949 - January 29, 2022

Alicia “Alice” Castro Lumaban was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 29, 2022 at age 72. She was born to Prudencio Castro and Elisa Baquiran on September 6, 1949. Alice married her husband, Jose Lumaban, they had 4 children: Robert, Dorothy, Eloisa and Jose Jr. As a young woman and a military spouse she left her country of birth, Philippines, and migrated to the Unites States to join her beloved husband. Together with their four children, they scoured the world in service of their country. Alice loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was a skilled seamstress and avid gardener. She was also into cosmetology and crocheting. Alice was also a god fearing woman who dedicated time and service hosting prayers with the Salinas Association. Alice was preceded in death by her brothers Alfonso and Alex. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Alma, Alina, Alvin, Allan, and Elisa. Alice had a fruitful life with her children blessing her with many grandchildren; Mylisa, Brandon, Mykeal, Tyrekia, Kaiulani, Aleksander, Eloica-Nina, Yasmeen-Paige, Sabrina-Marie, Jaylan, Chael, and Tre (Jose III). Alice was also blessed with great grandchildren Kayani, Jeremiah, Arya-Naveen, Nasir-Aryan, Phoenix, Alianna, Joseph, Christian, Koda, and Audriella. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm on February 18 and 19 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA 98499. The funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on February 20, 2022 at the Mountain View Funeral Home Aspen Chapel 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA 98499.
