My Dear Mommy,
This last year has been so hard to live through. You fell, and all our lives changed.
You spent the next year in Alaska Gardens, where they loved you and took such good care of you! That is a comfort.
We got to see you for a little while, but who would have guessed that last kiss, was our last. Then, the no see order, for nursing homes. We got to see you through a window, but you couldn’t hear us, so writing messages, was our way of talking! But, we did get to see you.
Our last time, was just before Christmas, all of us kids met to see you. We tried talking, smiling, sharing hand hearts, but was so hard on you. We said good bye, not knowing that would be the last time!
Then, the call, and you were gone! So, now, I will say goodbye to you, mommy, knowing in my heart, we will all meet again in a short time.
You were a great great mommy and will be in my heart forever!
