You know how much are dad meant to us just try to remember the good times and the many smiles and laughs he gave us. I'm sorry that he is gone but we can't change that just remember that we still have each other.He will be very very miss by all.

I'm writing this to tell you not only in words but in writing, how sorry I am that you lost your father.I know he meant a lot to you girls. You have stayed by his side thru the best of times right thru the hardest times in his life. He did leave a lot of good memories, that we can all look back at. I wish things could of been a little different then they had been. Maybe he would still be here to share many more years with you girls. Even though I was'nt part of his life the last 6 years or so I'm sorry he had to leave. Just remember girls that he will always be watching over you.When you are all feeling sad think of the fun laughter and joy he brought to you all.One more thing maybe now he's doing the one thing he always wanted to do but did'nt get the break in life to do. Pitching in a All star baseball game. He loved his baseball and could never play the way he wanted to. Again I'm sorry for the loss. We will all miss him in our own way. I grew up with harlin, we met when we were about six years old, his dad and mom sister and brother moved in across the street from us and my brother and myself met harlin and his family, they had moved here from southern california,wewent to school together and did everything together, played sports and got into our share of trouble together too.there were no angels among us.we finally joined the U.S.ARMY in june 1971 and went to basic training at fort leonard wood mo. it was a hell of a goodtime in our lives that we both needed, after basic training harlin went on to fort lee virginia and i went home on leave, we met up again two weeks later in virginia, after ait in virginia, harlin went on to fort ord ca, and i went to fort carson co. i wouldn't hear from harlin again until one day when i was in Korea, the phone rang and it was Harlin calling from yougsong Korea, about 65 miles from where i was stationed, i took a bus down to see him that weekend and the party was on in Korea,harlin got out of the army in 1974 and so did i.
