Greg passed away in Tacoma on December 20. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ann and infant son Willy. He is survived by his loving wife Suki, sister Jill Ehrich, stepson’s Gene and Zack Zweigler, two granddaughters and h Read Obituary
At work for the Port of Tacoma, Greg Nelson lead the finance team encouraging each of us to do our professional best.
Greg was quick witted and enjoyed jokes and laughter. Greg was honest and he cared about us. Most of all he was a mentor to me for over 17 years. He took the time with me, as he did each of us on his team, to help us grow professionally as well as making sure we had time for our families. Greg made a difference for good for me, for the Port of Tacoma and for our community.

I have many great memories of Greg who was my boss at the Portof Tacoma and a special friend. Over the past few years we have gottern together for lunch with Hank Granse, Mike Sawers and myself. We always had a great time and I really enjoyed his company. I am sorry I cannot be at the burial service due to medical appointments. Sending our condolences to his wife and family.
