Dr.Olson was my son Ryan Houghton's Doctor for over 17 years. If it were not for him I fill we would not still have our son. Ryan was 5 days old when Dr. Olson found out what was wronge with him and had us talk to Doctors at Loma Linda, because Kaiser did not do Dialysis on Infants at that time.Ryan had a kidney transplant when he was two and half yrs old. Dr.Olson has always made himself availabe at anytime we needed him. he was a wonderful Doctor and a very special friend. He will be missed greatly by my family.

I have worked with Dr. Olson for two years as his medical assistant.I can not begin to tell you how much I am going to miss him. He was a very wonderful,intelligent caring man who loved his patients. I'm remembering, today, when Dr. Olson first came to practice at Kaiser Fontana - a very gracious gentleman who never married or had children of his own. What I've come to know now, is that we were all part of his family and Kaiser's children were his children. His expertise and dedication were only surpassed by his love and concern for these kids and their families with special needs. I remember when Kaiser Fontana first informed us that they were getting a kidney expert from LA. I was 12 years old, and had fought with kidney problems for ten years. When Dr. Olson "came to town", he performed biopsy's, tried new drugs, sent me into remission, and all along formed an icredible friendship with my family. After 13 years of remission, my kidney problems reoccurred at the age of 27. Dr. Olson still kept me as his patient to see me through my unexplained relaspe. It was Dr. Olson, and his Bedside Manner that led me into the medical field. It was his care for his patients that I strive to deliver to my patients on a daily basis.
