We are so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. Dana was my cousin. I remember when we were children and Dana lived on the other side of the gulch from our family's home on West Road in Tacoma. Dana, Charlie, Nita (my sister) and I played together at the Hunter's home, and our families celebrated holidays with Uncle Chuck and Aunt Louise.
I was too young to play golf with Dana and Charlie, sadly, but I have happy memories of being with the Hunter tribe either at their Tacoma home or their home bordering the Tacoma Golf and Country Club.

Sorry to hear of Dana`s passing. Spent many hours as a kid at the Hunter house on Forest Glen Lane, remember looking up to Dana as the little cousin.

Rest in Peace Uncle Dana...I always enjoyed your stories. Can remember you and Dad talking about your golf games on the phone and going over every hole you played and what club you used.

Just so you know...Dad always cherished beating you in the club championship. His competitive streak was strong playing his older brother. He told me he never got over not winning the city amateur when Grandpa Hunter won it 10 times. He hated being in second. Time to go show them you still got it! All the best!

We honor the Man that fathered two of my Best Friends, Debbie and Delinda. I was able to be around him over the 30 years. I’ve known his girls and he was a sweet Man, with a quick wit and even quicker smirky smile. He death leaves a hole in our hearts, but we know he is above on a green playing with the angels.
"Dana’s life was like a Round of Golf, with many a turn and twist. But the game was much too sweet and short to curse the shots he missed. Sometimes he hit it straight and far, sometimes the putts rolled true. But each round had it’s errant shots, and troubles to play through.
He always swung with courage, no matter what the lie. And never let the hazards destroy the amazing joy inside. So when you think of Dana, keep a song within your heart, give thanks that you can play. For the round is much too short and sweet to let it slip away. –

So when next you are on the green, and struggling with the putt, just think of the Hunter men upon the heavenly greens, close your eyes and sink the shot. "

Met Dana through my Madison Park neighbor and his cousin Jack Morton.

This man was one of the kindest, most sincere people I have ever met. In the 22 years I had the pleasure to know him, he always had a smile on his face, and a great attitude about life. I am comforted to know that he is now in the midst of his Dad, Brother & Son, enjoying the sport he excelled at, and brought him so much pleasure.
Godspeed Dana, you are no longer in our sight, be will forever be in our hearts.
