National Healthcare Decisions DayThursday, April 16, 2015 : 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Mountain View Funeral Home will be observing NATIONAL HEALTHCARE DECISIONS DAY with a presentation of the film Consider the Conversation: A Documentary on a Taboo Subject.
This film examines multiple perspectives on end-of-life care and includes information and experiences gathered from interviews with patients, family members, doctors, nurses, clergy, social workers, and national experts from around the country.
There will be two showings of the film, 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
This free event is open to the public and will be held at the Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View Funeral Home. Light refreshments will be available.
We are proud to be hosting this free event that will lift up the importance of discussing End-Of-Life issues and having Advance Directives in place.
Our goal is to help raise awareness of the services and care that is offered through Hospice providers and how to begin these important conversations.
We would also like to encourage local hospice providers and other local vendors who aid in providing services to the elderly to join our event.
If your organization is interested in having a table at our event, please send an email to Kai Vik at kvik@MountainViewTacoma.com or Sacia Vik at svik@MountainViewTacoma.com
