Richard Paul Bean Richard Paul Bean, USAF retired, age 81, of Lakewood, Washington lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma on October 28th, 2014. He was born in Spokane, Washington May 3rd, 1933. He gave 22 years serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran. After serving his country, he embarked on a second career as a mail handler in the United States Postal Service for another 22 years. He was also a F&AM at Steilacoom Lodge #2. His passion was playing Tennis at the Lakewood Racquet and Sport Club. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Diane; his children Karen (Mark) Wyrick, Leslie (Ericka) Bean, David (Pamela) Bean, Lyle Bean and Pam Walsh; his grandchildren Dawn (Tony) Reishus, Jason Wine, Josh (Sarah) Wine, Kristin (Ryan) Thoensen, Andrew Wyrick, Ryan Chatari, Haley Wyrick and Brandon Bean; and great-grandchildren Andrew and Victoria Wine, Halie Thoensen, Adam Wine, and Audun Reishus. Richard’s surviving sibling is his sister Nancy (Warren) Fricke. No services will be held by his request. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or another charity of your choice. He will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent WA.
