On behalf of the Robert E Mitchell Center for POW Studies, we are saddened to have just learned of SGT Isaako Malo's passing. Our hearts and prayers are with the Malo family. Know that Isaako has touched each and everyone of us and we felt that we were blessed to have known him. We always looked forward to his return visit! God bless Isaako, his family, and his extended family/friends!
I KNOW IT BEEN A COUPLE OF MONTHS SINCE YOU HAVE LEFT US. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO WRITE A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT MY DAD AND HOW GREAT OF A MAN HE WAS. MY DAD WAS A GREAT SOLDIER NOT ONLY THAT HE SERVE IN OUR COUNTRY HE WAS FIGHTING FOR OUR PEOPLE, HE ALSO WAS A GREAT LEADER HE WAS A PASTOR AT NEW LIFE SAMOAN CHURCH. AS GROWING UP AS A PASTOR CHILD IT WAS A GREAT BLESSING HAVING BOTH OF OUR PARENTS MINISTERING FOR THE LORD. MY DAD ALWAYS WILL TELL US THAT TO ALWAYS PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING WE DO AND HE WILL BLESS US IN MANY WAYS...NOW THAT I'M OLDER AND WISER I UNDERSTAND MY PARENTS TEACHING TO US KIDS AND WHY IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW GOD WAY AND NOT THE WAY OF THE WORLD. NOW THAT I DON'T HAVE MY DAD HERE WITH US AND I WISH HE WAS STILL WITH US I STILL HAVE HIS TEACHING IN ME AND THAT EVERYTHING HE HAD DONE FOR US (MY SIBLINGS) WAS FOR THE BEST DAD MAY R.I.P. MY GUARDIAN ANGEL MY LIFE MY WORLD MY EVERYTHING TILL WE MEET AGAIN....LOVE YOU FOREVER

my dad was the most amazing loving giving person you could ever meet.I know it's been a couple of months since he's passed on.but just in case someone was to read this.I wanted to share a little bit about who he was in my life.my dad was so lovable he love this country so much and believe in nothing but a hundred percent American products. not only did he have a love for this country but he had a love for God. growing up I always went to see him giving himself a hundred percent and plus to the Lords work. and my dad want nothing but the very best he would be the first one to church the first one to get up in the morning. and of course the first one to go to bed he was always a man of his word he will never back down if he said that he was to do something for someone. us growing up we never saw any signs of a struggle because that always made sure that we had a shelter and food to eat. He was the center of all of our family gatherings if you was to come to a gathering down and gloomy just believe if Dad was there you would laugh just because of the sound of his laughter that was his signature of who he was. I I can still hear his laugh today I miss him so much. He is the kind of person that comes into your life to make sure that you are at your best. God truly blessed me and my brothers and sister with the loving father and his grandkids a loving grandpa. My nieces and nephews including my son we're all very young when my dad passed but the effect they had a losing him was almost like they were grown. But that's the impact my dad had on us all. He taught me how to be strong on my own and one of the greatest lessons was never to depend on a man but God. He he was so humble and everything. he showed so much grace even to strangers especially when we would go out to eat he would always be kind to the waitress even if the waitress was having a bad day he would always say everyone deserves to be treated with kindness even if they don't treat you I'm good. We should always show love regardless because you can be a blessing to that person at that time.there's so much more I wish I can tell you about my dad but there's not enough room. The these things that I've shared with you portion of who he was. My wish is that I have a longer time with my dad but God has his own plans for all of us. Just remember life is short and those that you love. My family will be forever changed for Day the master called his servant. But we still have his memories and will continue and will try to live his legacy. Rest in love my hero forever I love you daddy...your daughter Mena
